In this video, the home visitor uses open ended questions, reflections and affirmations to discuss the parent’s recent experience of family conflicts.  The home visitor then uses the “elicit-provide-elicit” framework to provide the parent with new strategies to express their needs to other adults in the household. They finally discuss strategies to navigate challenges and strong emotions that may arise during difficult family conversations.
