Healthy Relationships

Description

This curriculum teaches home visitors and supervisors how to support safe and healthy partner and family relationships. Home visitors and supervisors will first learn to assess partner and family communication and conflict management patterns to identify signs of family distress including domestic violence. Home visitors and supervisors will then learn how to have sensitive conversations with clients about partner and family violence, communication, and conflict management patterns. Skills taught will include domestic violence safety planning, identifying community referral resources to support clients, and modeling healthy communication and emotion regulation. Various interactive activities will allow home visitors and supervisors to practice their skills in communicating with families about healthy relationships and referring to appropriate resources in the community.
